Softball is an awesome and exciting sport to play, all thanks to Lewis Rober. Lewis was born February 15, 1904. He invented softball in 1895, a ton of people all over the world play it to this very day. Softball is just like baseball, just baseball has a bigger field. Also you have to pitch underhand in softball.Softball is mostly for girls not boys.
Softball gloves are slightly different from baseball gloves because the pockets are deeper because there is a bigger ball. Softball bats are slightly smaller than baseball bats because they are crafted for that specific league. You cannot hit a baseball with a softball bat because it will leave a dent. The average limit of players on the field is about 10 players. The mass of a softball is 6.25 ounces.
Softball is harder to play because the pitchers pitch harder. They also have to pitch underhand which makes it go everywhere, but you can practice to control it better. With a baseball you have a better control over the ball because it is a smaller ball that you pitch overhand with. If you want to play, there are a ton of softball fields around Seminole. There are even softball fields at Indian Rocks Christian School. So come try it out.
