How I Left Ukraine

At 5 o'clock in the morning the war started. We were at home for 1 week and then we went to the border in Poland. We drove for 3 days to reach the border in Poland. Mom asked to let dad go with us to Poland, but he could not, so we went to Poland without dad. We flew first to Turkey, then we went to the airport, got tickets and flew to Mexico City, Mexico. We took a car and went to Tijuana, got tickets and flew to Texas in America. We stayed in a hotel room for the night, then went to the airport and flew to Florida. When we arrived in Florida we were met there by my aunt, grandmother and cousin. I then went to school and barely knew English. Thanks to my friends I can understand English better. After 10 months my dad came to America with the help of my aunt and her husband. They started and funded a program "you for you" that help Ukrainians like me and my family to come here in America and live together.
