DUN DUN DUN DUN! Did you hear a princess is coming? Before she comes, I will be telling a story and not just any story a story about the worst and most horrible subject EVER it is about ….. BULLYING! Yes!!! Yes! I know bullying is bad and I am going to give you an example; so please continue to listen.
The story starts when it was the middle of the school year. A new girl came to school. When Emily and her friends, Patricia and Regina, saw this girl they knew she was going to be their next victim.
Mr. Roberts paired the new girl with Emily. “Perfect!” Emily thought. “Hi; I am Mary!” said the new girl “Like the princess?” Emily asked. “Uh not really no! Hehe!” replied Mary “Ok. Also, you see that boy over there? His name is Noah and he is a total nerd kinda like you but, you are more ugly haha!” said Emily.
“Um, ok. That’s kind of mean.” replied Mary. At lunch, “Hey, Mary right? I am Noah. I was wondering if you want to sit together at lunch?” asked Noah. “Why not?” answered Mary. “Eww! The nerds are sitting together! ” said Emily. “Hahaha” laughed Patricia and Regina.
“Better than sitting with you! And, you’re with your minions!” said Noah. “UGH!” screamed Emily. “Wait! Maybe, we can be friends if we get to know each other? You can go to my house after school if you want?” asked Mary. “Yea, no! You are really weird” said Emily
Then, she walked away. The next month, “Class, Mary wants to say something to us so be respectful and quiet!” exclaimed Mr. Roberts. “Good luck” said Noah. “Thanks! Hello class! So, you know my name is Mary. Some people asked ‘Like the princess?’ Well, yes I am the princess!” announced Mary. “OMG! REALLY? I AM SO SORRY FOR BEING A BULLY! CAN YOU FORGIVE ME? CAN WE BE FRIENDS?” cried Emily. “You should have been nice to me for who I really was, but I guess we can start over,” replied Mary. Happily ever after! Yay!!!
So, what did you think of this story? Why would Emily only want to be friends with Mary if she is a princess?
We need to stop bullying and have more Noah's out in the world. If you see bullying in your school, go and stand up for that person. Don’t just stand and do nothing! Go and help and be that person’s hero.
The Moral of the story is don’t bully or be a bystander, be a hero!! So, when you set down your newspaper I want you to go from a bystander or bully to a hero! Go and be someone else’s hero.
