Those who looked up in the western sky recently, were treated to a beautiful sight. Not only was there a crescent moon, with it was Jupitar and Venus! This is called a conjunction. If you went outside, you could see with your naked eye, the amazing crescent moon and both the coolest planets, Jupitar and Venus. Why though? Sometimes a planet's visibility is determined by the reaction of the light, and believe it or not, their own shadows. Jupitar also gives off a blazing light, making it shine brighter than any star in the night sky and Venus’ thick clouds reflect most of the sunlight that reaches Venus back into space, not to mention it is one of the closest planets to Earth! The two planets occurred on either side of the crescent moon, assisted by the cloudless sky. The UK space agency said it occurred because the two planets are coming closer together! In March, they will be so close (still far away though) that they will become one in the night sky. If you missed the breathtaking dance, you will be happy to know that this show is not rare and will happen again!
