Homework! We get so much of it and never get enough time to do all of it. That’s why I’m saying we should get less homework. I’m pretty sure everybody agrees with me on this topic. Imagine you are in class and it is a couple of days away from the test . You did finish class work, but the teacher gives you more work to do at home.
In my own experience, I stay up late to do some of the homework that the teacher provides. The school homework essentials hudsonvalleyschool.org says less homework makes homework fun to do more homework is boring for people. Busywork is not good for everyone ,especially for kids that are more into outdoor activities and events.
Nancy Kailsh, a book author of cases against homework, says that many homework assignments are simply busywork and, if there is less homework, kids would have more time to spend with their family, friends, pets, and neighbors and to pursue active things outside. If there is more homework, kids would be bored or not pay attention to the long- winded homework. With less homework, kids would pay attention in class and enjoy it.
A website called Classcrafts.com says “with less homework kids are more encouraged to learn and kids are better rested and focused”. Children should have enough time to spend with their families and friends and grandparents. Because of this positive change, kids will be more awake the next day.
I believe it’s important for kids to have a life outside of school. The majority of kids our age have other activities like after school sports, and, unfortunately, the kids don’t have enough time to do them . The practice of homework is sometimes not used in real life situations, such as in the real business world. That is my case and I stand behind it. Thank you for listening to my perspective on why we should have less homework. Thank you! And have an awesome day.
