Jeep is a car company that was made by Willys in 1942. Willys made Jeep vehicles for world war two. Eventually the war ended on September 2, 1945. This means Willys was not making any money. Willy’s came up with the bright idea to make civilian jeeps. This is when WIllys made the jeep CJ. The jeep CJ was a reliable car for many years until people started reporting that it had serious roll over problems. Then Chrysler bought Jeep from Willys. Chrysler made Jeep CJs for about 10 more years after jeep was sold to them. This is when the Jeep YJ was made. Chrysler made the headlights of the Jeep YJ square to prove that it would not roll over, because cubes don’t roll. The Jeep YJ was made from 1988 to 1995. There are about only 200,000 Jeep YJ’s left. Chrysler originally made 600,000. Eventually Jeep moved on to making the TJ, but that's for a different article.
