everyone my name is dazarae and I will be telling you about what happened To our family. On September 27, 2019, my family tragically lost our 15 month old sister, Royal Leigh, at the negligence of someone we trusted with my precious sister who left Our pool door open. My sister was Beautiful inside and out. She had this incredible beauty to light up the room with her beautiful energy no matter where she went. She loved dancing, baby shark, and she especially loved fancy Nancy. Sometimes I sit in the midst of my pain and I can still hear the music we play for you hoping to help you heal, I can hear all the beeping and all the alarms, and smell all of the scents of the NICU, I met while there the best toy doctor that helped me cope with loosing my sister. I will continue to keep you a part of every chapter of my life, and I will tell your name and your story to anyone who enters. I will always talk about her and how important she is to me, I am so proud to be a sister to a beautiful world changer and will always continue to let her legacy live on. She gave us the best and happiest moment of our lives. She is missed deeply every single day. Some days are harder than others but It’s okay to not be okay.
Exactly one year after losing Royal, my family decided to turn our pain into purpose and The Royal Way Foundation was founded. At the Royal Way foundation we are dedicated and actively advocating by telling her story and helping others avoid any in-home accidents.
The Royal Way Foundation is a nonprofit organization that promotes water safety and offers professional swim lessons, and CPR training and certification, we are committed to spreading the word to prevent water injuries. We do this by giving children swimming lessons and educating and the necessary first aid skills and CPR, whether this be the parents, the grandparents, the caregivers, siblings, anyone who has access to your child on a daily basis. We also sell merchandise and every month on the ninth through the 16th we do our Royals random acts of kindness.
Thank you for listening to our story and help me by spreading the awareness of in home safety, The Royal Way.
