Have you ever wondered how people who do track in the Olympics run that fast? I have and it is extraordinary! Most athletes may have done track during their school days. I have experienced track meets (competitions) and how they train. There are three categories, which are short distant runners, long distant runners, and middle distant runners. When you are a short distant runner, like me, you can run really fast in the 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter, and relays. When you are a long distant runner, you can jog or run fast in the 800, the mile (1600), and sometimes relays. When you are a middle distant runner, you can run 200, 400, 800, and relays. This takes a lot of training. I have just started this year and I have gotten 4th place, two 7th places, 6th place, and three 8th places, but it took hours of work. I hope you will join the track team at St. Paul and enjoy it as much as I do.
