Football is a very popular sport! If you ever want to play football, you will have equipment that will protect you when you tackle someone. You will have a helmet and pads like shoulder pads and knee pads. You will also have a football uniform and you must wear it any time you have a game, or you have practice. When you play football, you must be either defense or offence. When you are playing defense, the other team has the ball the other team will be in front of you, and they will have a different jersey on and their equipment will look different from yours. When they other team has the ball, your team must try to stop them from making a touchdown in order to do that you have to guard people. You or someone else on your team will be guarding the person with the ball. The other people on your team will be guarding other people on the other team. When the other team has the ball, your team has to use teamwork so that your team can beat the other team. Your coach will tell you what to do. They will have a game play so you will know where to move and who you are guarding. When you’re on offense your team has the ball. You’re maybe still guarding someone, or you have the ball, and you must get to the opposite side of the field and make a touchdown. When you’re guarding and you’re on offense you are trying not to let them get to the person who has the ball. When you’re on defense and you are guarding your stopping the other team from stopping the person who is trying to get the ball. When you are going to play a game, you must go to practice so you can get better at playing and so you can learn all the plays.
