Summary: Sophie Foster is a girl that has been telepathic since age 5. She has always been hearing the thoughts of everyone around her, and she doesn’t know how to tune it out. But everything changes one day when she meets Fitz Vacker, a boy who is telepathic; just like her. She learns that she must leave her family and join a new world that isn’t ready to accept her yet. She learns she must fight of a rebel group that is reeking havoc in the Lost Cites ; her new home. Along with her friends she must determine if she can make a difference in her world.
Setting: This book takes place in a world called the Lost Cities. The people who live there all have special abilities to help them with their daily tasks. The Lost Cities is more advanced than any human city in the world. This is the setting of Keeper of the Lost Cities.
Main Characters: The main characters of this book are Sophie Foster and her friends Keefe Sencen, Fitz Vacker, Dex Dizzne, Biana Vacker, Tam , and Linh. Each of these characters has a special power that makes them unique. Sophie Foster is a rare case because she was gifted with several powers.
Conflict: The conflict of this book is a rebel group that is destroying the Lost Cities. The main goal of the organization is to take over and be the new rulers of the elves. They want control because they have different beliefs than the current rulers. The Lost Cities definitely has problems with their rule, but there is a difference in opinion of what the solution might be.
Solution: In the end of this book, Sophie has some good friends that will help her defeat the rebel group in the next book where she will continue to learn more secrets and clues to defeating them.
Review: I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read heart warming tales. I would give this book 5 stars.
