Why FAST Testing Should not be a Thing

Imagine no more FAST testing and we get FSA back. In my opinion, that would be the best thing that happened in the WORLD! Most people think that FAST is a challenging thing for them, but others think that it is more helpful, but we are not focusing on that today. Today we are focusing on why some people do not like FAST testing. I think that FAST testing should not be a thing because it is more stressful for students, most kids prefer FSA than FAST, and FAST is one day when FSA was two days.

To begin, FAST made testing difficult for students because it is much more stressful for students. Two reasons FAST should not be a thing is because kids must take it three times a year. In my experience having to take it gets annoying, and it gives you stress. Plus, students try their best on the first test and most get low scores and then they feel disappointed in themselves. Because of this disappointment, they do not feel confident that they can get better scores on their next two tests. If I am being honest, when I saw my first FAST test score, I felt disappointed in myself, and I did not feel confident. As you have read this is ONE of the reasons why there should be NO MORE FAST TESTING!

In addition, most kids prefer FSA than FAST. Some kids complain that FAST testing must be taken three times a year and not one time. Plus, FSA was on paper and FAST is on computer. First, most little kids do not even know how to use a computer, and it is easier to take tests on paper because then we can annotate the questions and find out what they are looking for. In my opinion, when I heard that the test was on computer, I did not like that at all because that made more of a chance for me to get something wrong, and that upset me. Plus, some kids are bad at copying or transferring numbers for the math FAST test and can easily get the problem wrong because of this. Also, when my class heard that we had to take it three times a year, we all did not like that. We all prefer to do it on paper than on the computer. So, now you understand how most kids prefer FSA than FAST, and this is only the SECOND reason FAST testing SHOULD NOT BE A THING!

Furthermore, students do not want FAST testing because FAST is one day when FSA is two days. Since, FAST testing is only one day that means that kids are more stressed on how much time they have left instead of focusing on their test and they cannot think straight. Students do not have much of a break from the FAST test. I am quite sure that you get students get about ten minutes of break time to rest their eyes from staring at a computer screen for so long. FSA testing takes two days, but I think it is worth the two days of FSA testing because on the first day you are fired up to rock this test and you finish the first part. Then you go home and rest up and chill. The next day you are back and rested to continue the test and rock it. After completing the test, you feel confident in your score because you were able to rest and refresh your mind, so it was not as stressful. This is why FAST testing should be two days and not one day.

In conclusion, I think FAST testing should not be a thing for school testing because it is more stressful for students, most kids prefer FSA than FAST, and FAST is one day when FSA is two days. FAST did not help students because most kids do not like FAST testing. This is why there should be NO MORE FAST TEASTING!
