Walt Disney World is a mystical place located in Kissimmee, Florida. This magical tourist attraction is well known for its Disney themed restaurants, exhilarating Disney movie themed shows, and most importantly their thrilling to calm rides that no matter what, will surely leave you astonished. Disney World surely has the whole package, and if you were to be around the area and not visit, you would be a fool.
One of my favorite attractions at Walt Disney World in the water category is Splash Mountain. Splash Mountain is a water ride based on the famous movie, “Song of the South,” and it contains 3 dips and around a 50-foot drop at the very end. Follow the storyline of Br’er Rabbit and his search for adventure while a hungry fox and a bear follow him as the villains of the story. This ride is roughly 12 minutes, which makes it one of the longest rides at Disney World. It is definitely a family ride that shouldn’t be that scary for the littles. Unfortunately, it closed down a while ago but will be getting a fresh new look some time in 2024 as a Tiana themed ride. If you are planning a visit in 2024, you should definitely take a ride on it, because the sneak peeks Disney has given us has left us excited for more leaks.
A great ride at Walt Disney World in the dark ride category is The Haunted Mansion. The Haunted Mansion attraction is a dark ride that goes through a haunted mansion runned by ghosts. Climb aboard your “Doom Buggie” as it takes you through the haunted mansion. This ride surely has great scenes, but one that would not be the same without it is the dining room scene. In this scene you will see ghosts having a wonderful party and dancing with one another. This ride is about 10 minutes and shouldn’t be very frightening for the smaller ones, but just in case, I would recommend making them watch a video first. In conclusion, this ride is worth the wait and has been since it first opened.
In my opinion, the best attraction in the thrill category is Expedition Everest. Expedition Everest is located in the Animal Kingdom park and is a thrilling roller coaster through an icy, cold mountain. Try to escape the Yeti as it hunts you down throughout the mountain. The queue is almost like a gallery, because it's filled with ancient artifacts and is very interesting to witness. This thrilling ride is about 3 minutes with small drops and around an 80-foot drop at the end. Around the middle of the ride it has a dark backwards section that might be frightening for the younger view as it might feel as if you're flying backwards. I would suggest riding a smaller thrill ride as a younger guest before riding this one, because it might be a little scary for people around 6-10. All in all, this is for sure a wonderful ride that is probably one of the best in the whole Walt Disney World.
To wrap it up, Disney World is such a great place that you will always remember as a magnificent and magical place. With the upcoming water ride, The Haunted Mansion, and Expedition Everest, it makes it “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” no doubt about it.
