What is Your Dream Job?
Author Name:

My dream job is to be a pediatric doctor, also known as a pediatrician. I always dreamed of being a teacher, or the president of the United States, but I also wanted to own my own business. If I study hard and learn about being a pediatrician, I could own my own practice and persue my dreams. Pediatricians manage the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of children. Since I could remember, I always wanted to work with kids.

As a pediatrician you are always on your feet and sometimes you must work all day as an emergency doctor. I do not want to be looked at by parents as a bad doctor, or children most importantly. I do not want kids to be afraid of me, awkward around me, or scared that I am their doctor. I want to walk in, and all the scared feelings go away as I walk through the doorway. Six responsibilities as a pediatrician are; maintain treatment plans, provide referrals to specialists, conduct medical examinations, diagnose, and treat illnesses and injuries, and communicate with patients, their families, and caregivers. I hope to become a pediatrician when I grow older and become every child’s favorite doctor.
