I was born in Bolivia and my dad, Nelson Barrios, owns a restaurant there called “Kansas.” It is a restaurant that he and his friends built that is located in Bolivia, Cochabamba, which is in South America. When my dad is in Bolivia, he goes to the restaurant every day to work. He often comes to the United States to visit my mom, sister, and me.

When I go back to Bolivia in the summer, I have a job as a cook in the kitchen and I make steak. One of the steaks I make is called Ojo. I throw it on the grill and put on a sauce made of oil, papaya, and a tiny bit of soy sauce. It is really delicious.

“Kansas” is open every day and closes at 11 pm. It has the best employees and the best pasta and steak for kids. The pasta is made with tomato sauce, cream, and cheese. There are also many drinks, like a pineapple mint frozen smoothie.

The best part is that it has a bar for grownups, a kitchen, and outside tables. The manager is Miguel. He used to be a bartender and my best friend, but now he is a manager. When he was a bartender, I used to steal fruit from the bar. The bar has alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.

If you get a chance to go to “Kansas,” I would advise you to get your kids the kids’ pasta. I hope you get a chance to try it!
