Hey you, yes you. Have you ever wondered about the Sun? Well, you came to the right place. What is the Sun? The Sun is one of many stars in this universe, but it is the only star in our solar system! The sun gives us humans and creatures light and heat to survive. If we didn’t have this big ball of gas, we would not be able to survive here on Earth. The Earth and many different rocky planets and gas giants are revolving around the Sun.

What is the Eclipse? The Eclipse is a rare phenomenon, and it is where the moon (our moon) goes in front of the Sun, blocking the light to Earth. Then it turns our bright sky dark. Fun fact...total solar eclipses do not last long. Why? Well, the moon is moving along its orbit. The 2017 eclipse lasted longest in Tennessee. It only lasted two minutes and 40 seconds there.
Now you must be wondering about a solar wind. Solar wind is when particles of matter (from our Sun) fly into space hitting the earth near the North and South Poles, causing these beautiful lights in the sky. There is a spacecraft that collects those particles.
Fun facts!! If you were to try to drive a car to our Sun (which is impossible by the way) it would take you........ 152 years to get to the Sun from Earth!! But guess what? You still have to drive back!!
