I love my sport. Can you guess what it is? Cheerleading or Cheer. Cheer Is hard but I enjoy it so much. I Cheer at Rock Solid. It is a crazy amazing experience, especially when you learn a new skill earning so much respect from your teammates and coaches. It feels amazing! My favorite part of Cheer is the competition; traveling to so many new places, bonding with all of my teammates while practicing before the competition, and holding their hands while running on the fuzzy floor puts butterflies in my stomach. My favorite feeling is that win and the excitement from your coaches’ happiness transferred to you and your close teammates. Cheer is hard but you learn to enjoy it. Sometimes when I have a hard day, Cheer helps me burn my anger and sadness. Recently I just did my back handspring after two years. I have been working so hard for the last couple of months on tumbling and all my hard work has paid off. This could be a lesson to you; when you work hard and feel like you're not successful keep trying and God will pay you back for your hard work.

If you’re thinking about joining Cheer, here are some things you do in daily practice. You would most likely start with tumbling but to be honest, it depends on what team you're on. Tumbling on my team is really easy. We do walkovers and that’s pretty much it but the next team is higher so you would need to know how to do a back handspring, step outs, and valdezes. It just gets harder the harder you work. Sometimes the coaches yell at you but it makes you stronger I promise. It hurts, and you feel a sting but just remember it’s worth it. Jumps are a pretty easy skill you need, but your hips will become super sore. Stunts can be quite terrifying but fun at the same time. Just squeeze your body while you're in the air and the bases dip with your legs. In my opinion, the pyramid is hard but it's your chance to show the judges what you can do. My favorite part of Cheer is the dance where I can shine with choreographed dance moves! I hope you enjoyed my article and it helped you learn all you need to know about Cheer!
