There was a girl named Tristan Bailey, she was 13 years old. Tristan was a cheerleader, and a daughter. On Mother's Day 2021 her body was found in the woods stabbed 114 times. This story caught my attention because of her age and what happened to her. She was alone, in the woods with someone she probably trusted. How could this happen to a 13-year-old girl? Who did it? Why did they do it? I asked myself all of these questions as I started to look up more information about the case.
Tristan was 13 years old, cheerleader, daughter, sister and friend. I too was a completive cheerleader just like Tristan. She came from a large family, a total of 5 siblings including Tristen. They went by the saying “Bailey 7”. Tristan bailey was born March 14,2000, in Columbus Indiana. Her family and her lived in Durbin crossing in St. Johns Florida.
On May 9, 2021, hours after Tristen was reported missing by her family. They arrested Aiden Fucci a 14-year-old classmate on a first-degree murder charge in the death of Tristan. The missing person alert didn’t last long. At 6:06 pm, a resident walking in the neighborhood found Tristan's body by a retention pond east of the saddle stone drive cul-de-sac.
Aiden Fucci's mother was caught scrubbing blood out of her son’s jeans. This was Tristan baileys blood. She lied to the police to cover up what her son did. Aiden’s family were also good people just like the Bailey family. No one understood why Aiden Fucci committed these crimes, people are saying jealousy, urge to hurt some, drawling's and talks with her current girlfriend. Either way what he did was wrong and now two families are hurting as Tristan is in heaven and Aiden is in prison for life after pleading guilty to his crimes.
You too can look up this case and see more about the video surveillance that helped solve this murder. There were cameras inside and outside of the home. There were neighbors' cameras as well. I also watched the trail videos where the sister dropped gems to show how many stab wounds her sister received. Seeing those 114 gems dropping one by one in a jar took so long, I could only imagine what Tristen Bailey felt after that brutal attempt.
