Danger: In the Palm of Your HanDid you know that you can be in danger with the click of your phone? There are many apps that can put you in danger on your phone. On the website, Make use of it says “in TikTok the average user is somewhere between ages 11 and 26 — and the human brain is not fully developed until age 25.” TikTok users create crazy challenges for people to do. Many of these have made news headlines because of the injuries and damage that have occurred. For example, the penny challenge (you drop and penny between a wall socket and a plug) has started house fires. Moving on, is another unhealthy app is Roblox, which you are supposed to have at 13+ but some kids use Roblox at 5-6 years old, which is crazy! In the app, it has adult content such as inappropriate language, inappropriate acts and awful content. On Snapchat, you will receive pressure to share pictures and will have pressure to chat with other people. Like all the other apps you will get unwanted contacts that could find out stuff about you like your personal information and share bad pictures that you didn’t want to share. Did you know that kids must go into therapy because of YouTube? On the website, Anxious Toddlers it says, “from being exposed to explicit materials”. In YouTube, people make explicit videos that kids shouldn’t be on. After people see the video, they talk about in school and get inappropriate stuff in their mind. Another reason you shouldn’t be on YouTube is there is pretty scary stuff on that app and kids get nightmares from that. Overall, kids shouldn’t be or any of those apps because you could get unwanted contacts that could get your personal information, go to therapy, or stuff you shouldn’t be on until age 25.
IF YOU ARE AGE 12 OR UNDER, PLEASE DON’T GO ON ANY INAPPROPRIATE APPS!
