The Hobbit
Cave trolls! RUN! Oh, were you listening? I was just watching the best movie of all time, The Hobbit. When I was a bit younger I watched a movie called The Hobbit or as some people say There And Back Again. A couple of reasons I love this movie are because it is just so engaging and funny. Sadly, this is the only movie where I did not get a bit emotional because all the other movies kill off characters and it is so sad. SPOILER ALERT: the time when I felt the most sad was when Thorin died and a lot of the dwarfs died because I love dwarfs, they are all so funny. This is a prequel to a just as good movie series The Lord of the Rings. Also a lot of people think that The Lord of the Rings is based off of Harry Potter but The Lord of the Rings book came out in 1954 and the Harry Potter book came out in 2001, so take that! In addition, in this series, there is an amazing guy called the witch king who became the leader of the Ork army after Sauromear died when the tree beasts attacked his tower.
Anyway back to the Hobbit and its franchise, the main character is Bilbo Baggins ,the hobbit, and he lives in a nice calm place called the Shire. He and his friends are set on getting the mountain back from Smalg and Thorin wants to be the king of the mountain like his grandfather. The author of the book which all the movies are based on is J.R.R TOLKEN. There are some characters called the 9 Wraiths that are similar to dementors before they got their sad job as workers for Hogwarts and Azkaban. When Frodo, the nephew of Bilbo, puts on the ring they hunt him down to give the ring to their leader, the all seeing eye or Sauron to make him into the powerful man he was before becoming this form. My favorite characters are Gandalf, Bilbo, Thorin, Sam, Frodo,the Witch king, and Strider. And Golem had a redemption ark before trying to kill Sam and Bilbo and dying in the lava in the last Lord of the Rings. I was so sad when he died because the ring has taken control of him and he died for it before it melted in the lava of Mount Doom. Also I would like to add that Orks look terrifying in Lord of the Rings. The ones in the Hobbit are not as bad but they still look creepy like something I would see in a horror movie or horror house. Also, if you would like to watch any of these movies they are on HBO Max.
I love that the Hobbit is just so whimsical. Also I love Smaug. Another bad thing is when you get attached to a character that is not the main one because they almost always die and I really do not like that fact. But there is another good thing and that is the amazing side characters and tree giants who are just so cool and save most of the fellowship from Orks. Sadly, at the end of Lord of the Rings series they just get most of the main characters to sail away on a ship of middle earth. I was so surprised that they did not kill Bilbo, Sam or Frodo because at the end Sam and Frodo were laying on a rock when lava flowed down. I thought that they were going to die. Bilbo even lived to be 137! In conclusion, you should definitely watch these movies. They are quite long if you have a lot of time on your hands!
