I have had a great experience at Blessed Sacrament Catholic School so far and some of it is because of sports! In sports it’s not about yourself it’s about working as a team.Teamwork is very important in sports because if you didn’t work as a team you wouldn’t win. Here are two examples of teamwork. The first one is BASKETBALL. I’ve played basketball at Blessed Sacrament. In basketball you have to be a team. If you don’t communicate or anything then you will mess up. For example, if you wanted to pass the ball to a teammate and they don’t know, then the ball is gonna get stolen by the other team and gives them an advantage to shoot and score.
Another sport I've played at Blessed Sacrament is CHEER. In cheer you have to also work as a team. For example, if you were doing a stunt and you were supposed to remember the counts and you didn’t want to ask for help and you went too early then you could mess up the stunt and accidentally hurt someone. The same with tumbling if you and someone else are tumbling and you didn’t communicate with them to determine who’s on what side than you and the other person accidentally bump into each other, you could accidentally get hurt. Also, with jumps if you were doing a toe touch, herkie, or pike jump and if you and the person next to you didn’t communicate to make sure you weren’t too close you could hit each other then you both can get hurt. This is why TEAMWORK is important in sports!
