Budgies
Or budgerigars

are sweet little active birds who need playtime and socialization. In the wild of Australia where they're from, they are naturally green and yellow, and only about six or seven inches tall.

You can see flocks and thousands of budgies in Australia. And trees that look like they have leaves but actually they're budgies.

Budgie Variations

After being our pets for awhile, there started being genetic mutations of budgies and different colors and sizes. Today we have the original Australian budgie, the English budgie and the American budgie. Lots of people have blue budgies but there are a lot of variations, such as albino which is all white and lutino which is all yellow.

Like most animals, budgies have personalities too! They are all different but my budgie is super spunky and dramatic, although some are more on the shy side. The males sometimes have an ability to talk while the females don't. They normally sound like a robot Donald Duck, and they usually try and talk to impress females.
