She was born July 2, 1989 in San Dimas California. When she was 14, she fell in love with soccer. Until then, her parents never thought she would become a famous women’s soccer player. She was pretty young for a professional soccer player, according to NationalToday.com. On August 11, 2003 she finally joined the competitive club team. Also on March 24, 2007 she was the leading scorer as a freshman at University of California, Berkeley. Then Alex was called as a recruit to the elite team on July 18, 2008. Then gets recruited to the Women's U.S National and scored in the Women's World Cup U-20 on December 7, 2008. Then she finally got recruited to the U.S.W.N.T ( Us Women National Team) their team is 1st in their rankings! She was the youngest team member on the team on March 31, 2010 and got promoted to co-captain. Unfortunately they played great but still came 2nd and lost to Japan on July 17, 2011. Then they came back and won the American Sportswoman of the year award, this was her first award except her gold medal award. Then as co-captain, Alex won the gold medal with her team in 2012.Alex is still succeeding after she was pregnant with her daughter, Charlie. She also tore her ACL in 2007 at the age of 17. On December 31 2014, she married Servando Carrasco.
