Stranger Things is a show about a group of people fighting off these creatures to save Hawkins. It's based in Hawkins, Indiana, in 1983. The creatures in this show come from the Upsidedown (a world underneath Hawkins that looks like and feels like Hawkins just darker and scarier). There are demigorgons, demidogs, and later in the show there are the Mind Flair and Vecna (a creature that controls everything in the upsidedown).

At the begining 4 boys (Mike, Dustin, Will, and Lucas) are in the basement playing D&D (Dungeons & Dragons). It's getting late so they get on their bikes and ride home. While Will is riding home he hears a noise and crashes in the woods. He runs home and no one knows he is there. He hears the noises again, he's now scared, the light gets brighter ...BAM! It's pitch black and Will's gone!
Joyce Byers (Will's mom) wakes up and notices Will missing. She asked Jonathon (Will's older brother) if he came home last night, he says "no". Joyce decides to call the police and speak to Jim Hopper, the county's chief.
Nancy, Steve, Barbra, and some others are at the pool. Barbra cuts herself trying to open a can. Nancy and Steve go inside and Barbra stays out near the pool. Barbra hears something and she looks around ...BAM! She's gone too. Meanwhile, Hopper is packed full of work between the missing children and the rotten/eaten crops. People start searching for the missing children.
Mike, Dustin, and Lucas go looking for Will but end up finding a girl named Eleven (she has some type of mind powers).Joyce hears noises in the house thinking it's Will. She knows it is him so she does everything she can to communicate with him. At the end, Joyce and Hopper go in the Upsidedown looking for the children. They found out that Will is alive and Barbra's dead. As soon as they get out they tell Mike and his friends to close the gate (It's what they call when an opening to the upsidedown is formed.). Quickly, they tell Eleven to close the gate. Joyce gets her son back and they all think it.s the end, but is it?
