A Turtle On Two Feet

This morning something crazy happened. For some reason some sorta turtle came up to my doorstep on two feet and did this. ”YOU HUMANS SHOULD TAKE BETTER CARE OF THE OCEAN, YOU ARE KILLING US ALL” and it's like ”humans are so annoying, keep out of the ocean” and it ran off. But I like the beach and all that stuff so I decided to step it up a notch and help.

Like the sea turtle said, we don't really take care of our ocean but it’s really not intentional. One problem that the turtle might be talking about is plastic waste. But why exactly do we have to do this? Because the ocean is a beautiful place so if we don’t it mother nature is probably going to come after us like a rhino. But anyway Starting of by using less plastic is a good start. Recycling plastic helps reduce the amount of waste in the ocean and help the community have a cleaner background. You can also use metal utensils so you can keep plastic from ending up in the ocean. Using clay bowls or metal utensils can use up some time to clean the dishes though.A good way of reducing plastic can be using biodegradable things. They decompose much faster than plastic ever will because the material they use is natural! A good side of the biodegradable stuff is that they are cheaper than plastic. For example, plastic straws are cheaper than plastic ones. If we clean now then we’ll never have plastic on our beaches!

Another reason the turtle said “YOU HUMANS SHOULD TAKE BETTER CARE OF THE OCEAN, YOU ARE KILLING US ALL” is because we might be overfishing. Overfishing, let's say, can be a huge risk to the environment. If we run out of fish then how are the animals that eat fish going to survive? How are we going to get the fish that people enjoy? We can start by fishing less. Fishing less is an obvious solution. Fishing less helps the fish reproduce so the next time you come there there are more fish. Letting small fish go is another effective way because the next time it's going to be bigger! Fishing in other places is a good way so when you’re done fishing in one place they have a break then it keeps going on like that.

Since you are informed about this you might be questioning yourself why you should be doing this and that? It’s no like you have to but it's better to do it because these life forms are also living a life they are trying to enjoy as well. It’s not like you live in a trash infested home. So to give these creatures a better life picking up the pieces somebody has broken is a good way to encourage people to make better decisions.

Now that you have heard about what’s happening you have a chance to step in and help as well, unless you want an angry turtle on two feet at your door complaining about humans.
