One Saturday evening I was watching a documentary on fish and sealife, and how their home is being ruined by humans. But then I fell asleep and had a vivid dream about a jellyfish! She told me her name was Jennifer and she was upset about us humans destroying the ocean! This is a problem.

Jennifer the jellyfish told me all about microplastics and how we can’t see them. Unfortunately, the animals end up eating them by accident. Jennifer was so angry she almost stung me! And then she said that there was no solution to getting rid of microplastics.

Another thing Jennifer told me all about was toxic waste and chemicals. Jennifer said that she had seen a lot of oil spills, waste, and other unknown substances hurt her friends and family. Jen told me that if we don’t stop putting things that aren’t made for the ocean, she would die! I felt really bad. She had said that chemicals would not be good for the animal’s health, and the coral dies which is bad for the fish that eat some of the coral.

Why should we care about our oceans? We should care about our oceans because it gives us more oxygen than trees! Also, the fish gives us a good supply of iron, Omega-3 fatty acids, and much more! If we don’t protect our oceans, it might not be there in years to come! We should start recycling, using reusable stuff, and mostly stuff that doesn’t hurt our oceans!

As you can see, our oceans are very important, and we need them. If we don’t take care of the ocean, it will have a ton of toxic waste, chemicals, and microplastics. Let’s save our oceans!
