Pinatas are an important part of the world. They bring so much fun to parties. Pinatas are a paper mache character or animal with strips of confetti on them. They originated from China, the Aztecs, and Italy. Marco Polo found them in China and brought them to Italy. The Aztec version was a clay pot filled with goods that you would smash open. The Chinese and Italian ones used to be a dead animal with seeds inside them that you would smash open. Pinatas have also been taken into virtual reality with the Loot Llama from the video game called Fortnite. Did you know that in Mexico Pinatas are a very religious event, especially for Christmas?
